Sometimes the first steps are really the hardest!
I started this blog back when I was pregnant with my daughter Jerrica with every intention to blog throughout my pregnancy and her childhood. Well, time has a way of just slipping away sometimes, and today she is 10 months old!
She was born June 18th, 2015 at 2:28am via emergency C-Section. I was 38 weeks, 1 day pregnant with her, and had been in the hospital anticipating her arrival since June 10th, I believe. I was admitted for preeclampsia. I also had gestational diabetes, was of "advanced maternal age" (hah!), and had polyhydraminos.
Hopefully one day I'll sit down and blog about the whole ordeal, but honestly when I think about how terrifying and stressful it all was I get upset, and I definitely don't want to go there on my baby's 10 month-a-versary!
She's been such a delight. I'd always wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember. I'd had two miscarriages before my husband and I had gotten together. We tried for about 18 years to have a baby. Fertility treatments, a miscarriage, and buckets of tears later and we got pregnant with Jerrica out of nowhere it seemed. I had honestly given up, feeling I was too old to keep up trying, plus with health issues .... I just knew it probably wasn't a good idea. But she's here! And I couldn't be happier about that.
I have a separate beauty related blog, but I think I'll just combine all of those together and make this just a life blog of some sorts.
Hopefully I'll have baby stuff, beauty junk, crafts, geek stuff, home, and just randomness. Thanks for stopping by!
